When women vote, Democrats win!
So, how do we get more women to vote? In 2004, twenty million women sat out the election. Join us as we form a new group to strategize ways to increase women's participation. Men are welcome. This is not a fundraiser!
September 14, 12 pm, at Mama Mia Trattoria, 439 SW 2nd Ave. in Portland. $15 for lunch. Please RSVP to WomenVote2006@yahoo.com.
Every voter counts and every vote will be counted
Mark October 7 on your calendar now and save the date for our last DNC national day of organizing prior to the election. We'll roll out our national voter protection plan to make sure that each vote cast is counted fairly and accurately. We'll also be reviewing and practicing our Get Out the Vote program for Oregon. Stay tuned for information about staging locations across the state.
Phone Banking, Portland, Volunteers Needed!
We'll be running phone banks every Sunday through Wednesday from 5 pm to 9 pm from now until the election. Contact supporters and recruit volunteers. Phone banks currently held at the Donkey Stable, 232 NE 9th Ave. Contact lisa@tedforgov.com to volunteer.
Canvassing, Portland, Volunteers Needed!
It's time to get your feet on the street. Canvassing is great exercise, and it's been proven time and again the best way to turn out votes. Sundays, 1-5 pm. Canvasses leave from the Donkey Stable, 232 NE 9th Ave., Portland. Contact lisa@tedforgov.com to volunteer.
