location:
Corvallis-Benton County Public Library

Dr. Bill Lunch, Chair of the OSU Political Science Department, will speak on "Reading the Small Print in the 2008 Elections: Less Prominent Doesn't Mean Less Significant." While the focus of the talk is on Oregon issues, there will be plenty of time for questions about other contests. Dr. Lunch, the political analyst for Oregon Public Broadcasting, is both popular and well-known in this and other Oregon communities for his insightful, up-to-date analyses of the political climate.

In his teaching and research, Lunch emphasizes American national political institutions, Northwest regional politics, public opinion, and environmental, natural resource, and science policy. He has won awards at OSU for both his teaching and advising.

This presentation is sponsored by the Willamette Valley Forum, along with the Political Science Department at OSU and LBCC's Institute for Peace and Justice. Contacts are Kathy Thompson, Kathy.t@comcast.net and Dick Johnston, 753-8321. The talk is free and open to the public.
